Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your personal computer. The in-built drag-and-drop functionality will enable you to easily transfer files between your personal computer and the hosting server. Just select the file that you wish to upload from your PC and then drag it into your browser. The same goes for downloading a file from the File Manager to your personal computer. Plus, you can download files and even folders to your desktop computer by pressing the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager GUI, you can create a brand new file or folder with only a mouse click. All action buttons are handily positioned above the file/folder list and you can update your files effortlessly. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to another folder, view the contents of a file or update its permissions, delete a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager interface, you will be able to pack and extract all types of files. It does work astonishingly fast - just select the files you would like to pack and push the Compress button. You can even select the type of the new archive (.rar, .zip, etc.). It is just as easy to extract files from an archive to a selected directory.
File Editors
With the File Manager, you actually do not need any third-party software tools to modify your files. There is an image viewer, which enables you to explore the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will actually show up on the World Wide Web. Moreover, you will find an array of in-built file editors, which will give you total authority over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are meant for more proficient individuals, while the WYSIWYG editor (where you can see all source code changes in real time) is also suitable for non-tech-savvy users.
